News

BROOKWOOD MEMORIAL HALLS ARE REOPEN following the Roadmap, subject to Government rule changes.  We will keep up Covid-secure practices until no longer needed.  We perform daily cleans and wipedowns of all frequently touched surfaces,  and kitchen servery facilities remain limited. Hires are still subject to social distancing, capacity limits,  Test’n’Trace recording, and cleaning equipment used.

From 12 April  organised childrens activities (including childrens dance classes and childrens sport) can resume.
From 17 May adult indoor group sports and exercise classes can resume. Social groups up to 6 people or two households can meet indoors.
From 21 June "all legal limits on social contact will be removed." Some measures such as distancing, capacities and face coverings may still be required. The Committee plans to host large social gatherings, with a deep clean after, only once all adults have been offered a first vaccination, currently from 31 July.

About Us

Brookwood Memorial Halls comprise a large Memorial Hall with stage, lighting, kitchen, servery, with Committee Rooms and facilities for disabled, and a smaller Community Hall.  Together they are the main village and community halls of Brookwood village, near Woking, in Surrey, England.

The Halls and grounds are maintained to a good standard and are available for hire - details from our Lettings Agent.
The Halls are managed by local residents elected annually at a public meeting.

The Memorial Hall was built on land donated by the London Necropolis Company, from funds raised by public subscription, to commemorate those Brookwood residents who gave their lives for our freedom in the two World Wars.
