About Us

Brookwood Memorial Halls comprise a large Memorial Hall with stage, lighting, kitchen, servery, Committee Rooms and facilities for disabled, and a smaller Community Hall.  Together they are the main village and community halls of Brookwood village, near Woking, in Surrey, England.

The Halls and grounds are maintained to a good standard and are available for hire - details from our Lettings Agent.

The Halls are managed by local residents elected annually at a public meeting.

The Memorial Hall was built on land donated by the London Necropolis Company, from funds raised by public subscription, to commemorate those Brookwood residents who gave their lives for our freedom in the two World Wars.

News

UPDATE 15 JULY 2020 – BROOKWOOD MEMORIAL HALLS ARE REOPENING from Monday 27 JULY 2020 subject to any further changes in Government Regulations.

We have fulfilled all requirements to allow the return to use of the Halls in a COVID-secure manner. The Halls will be cleaned thoroughly once daily before hires. Cooperation of hirers is vital to keep up cleanliness up during hires between daily cleans. Gatherings over 30 persons remain prohibited, and room capacities will be reduced to reasonably maintain distancing based on space and foot traffic.  Detailed guidance will be sent to all our regular hirers, and published on our website section Hire Information. Booking enquiries to our Lettings Agent 07737 969231 or email to lettings@bmhalls.org.uk

Regulations regrettably still do not allow return of children’s soft play groups. Government advice remains for all at increased risk of severe disease from COVID-19, including all people aged 70 or over, to stay at home as much as possible and to minimise contact with others outside their household or support group. Any with suspected COVID symptoms should self isolate and call NHS 111 if symptoms worsen.

Our Annual General Meeting normally held in April is postponed until further notice.
